In the 19th century, opera dancers (ballet dancers who performed the dance interludes that took place during every opera) were the most sought after female company. Gentlemen brought gifts to their dressing rooms after the show and begged the great good fortune of accompanying them to a soirée, where they might have deigned to kick off their satin slippers and entertain the assembled company with a few ballet tableux.
In the Golden Twenties, no party was complete without a decorative and entertaining curiosity in human form. Sex work in this era often overlapped with dancing. Often, a sex worker (or a pair) were hired to regale guests with the most au courant styles of dance.
Offer the guests at your next bash the perfect combination of both these phenomena. (I particularly enjoy paying special attention to the birthday celebrant.)
I am a classically trained ballet dancer now offering live burlesque shows at clubs and private events. I am also happy to customize a performance for your event. I am based in Berlin, but am available for bookings throughout Western Europe.
